gigletHi! I'm Giglet, your mod.
I own and maintain three houses in the Boston area. I enjoy resources like This Old House and Fine Woodworking, but the presumed audience there is both male and non-fannish.
Sometimes I like to geek about my projects, my tools, and my ideas with other fannish women.
I'm not a pro, and I'm not an overachiever. At the moment, I have 2 basements that leak, a crumbling retaining wall, bats that get into the attic through some as-yet-undetected hole, a front door that just imploded, and about zillion smaller repairs. And that's not counting the life-improving changes I'd like to make to the houses.
This community is intended to creating an encouraging space for people dipping their toes into the home repair maelstrom for the first time. And also as a place where old hands can indulge in high levels of geekitude over obscure tools and techniques.
