Weekend projects?

Last weekend I cut the grass.

Then it rained All Week.

This weekend's plan? Cut the grass.

On the plus side, we have wee baby grass coming up where a few weeks ago I raked and sowed the Kerb'o'Weeds! (Is it disturbing if one coos at grass sprouts and baby-talks to them? I'm just so pleased they exist!)

This weekend is the refurbishment of my basement. The old painted (chipped and scuffed) cast iron, double-basin behemoth laundry tub is going, the walls are being scrubbed and painted, the old (1950s) single sheet linoleum is being scraped up from the concrete and replaced throughout the laundry area, storage room and powder room, and the powder room sink and toilet are being replaced. I'd like to replace the powder room walls, which are pink vinyl tile with black accents (1960s style) but that'll be our next project.

Well, thanks to illness and unavailability of our handyman, the only thing we've done thus far is the removal of the horrid laundry tub and the scrubbing of the walls. Slowly but surely...
